Charging Books at the College Bookstore

The College Bookstore allows students to charge course materials, school supplies and general merchandise to their student bookstore account.

Students will be permitted to charge $750 between 8/1/19 and 09/30/2019. Students will then be permitted to charge up to $600 between 10/01/2019 and 12/14/2019 provided their account balances are current. Students with unpaid student account balances will not be permitted to charge at the college store.

Students will be permitted to charge $750 between approximately 1/5/2020 and 02/28/2020. Students will then be permitted to charge up to $600 between 03/01/2020 and 05/04/2020 provided their account balances are current. Students with unpaid student account balances will not be permitted to charge at the college store.

Students will not be permitted to charge at the college store between May 5th and July 31st any year.

On the first of every month, the student bookstore account balance is transferred to Financial Services where it appears on the monthly tuition statement. The monthly bookstore transaction statement is available to view in the online billing system by the 5th business day of the month.

The student bookstore account remains open for the duration of the student’s education at Gettysburg College. A student bookstore account may be closed upon written request or at the discretion of Financial Services due to an unpaid student account balance. The Gettysburg College Bookstore also accepts cash, checks, Bookstore gift cards, MasterCard, Visa, and Discover as methods of payment.
