Theatre Arts: Online Resources

Provides access to the National Theatre Collection available via Academic Video Online. The collection, volumes I and II, draws on 10 years of National Theatre Live broadcasts and includes comedies, 20th Century classics, literary adaptations, and Greek classics, as well as modern stagings of Shakespeare such as Twelfth Night and Romeo and Juliet. Videos are captioned and have transcripts.

Curated for the educational experience, content includes foreign language films, documentaries, and feature films covering a wide range of disciplines and subject areas. Log in to create, annotate and share film clips and playlists. Films in Academic Video Online include limited public performance rights, which includes permission for classroom showings and on-campus public screenings, as long as no admission is being charged (excluding FILM PLATFORM and National Theatre titles. National Theatre titles can be used in classroom or lecture room for teaching purposes).

The International Bibliography of Theatre & Dance with Full Text is a fully indexed, cross-referenced and annotated databank of over 60,000 journal articles, books, book chapters and dissertation abstracts on all aspects of theatre and performance in 126 countries. It contains more than 490 full-text titles, including more than 170 full-text journals, and more than 360 full-text books & monographs.

Provides a database of encyclopedias and reference sources for research. Coverage include the Arts, Business, Education, the Environment, History, Literature, Medicine, Multicultural Studies, Religion, Science and Social Science. 2000 – present.
