Introduction

Special Collections and College Archives collects works related to the history, culture, social conditions, and experiences of Black Americans in the United States and around the world. Special Collections maintains a variety of materials a researcher might want to investigate, including books, manuscript collections, oral histories, photographs, and College publications. This guide will provide you with a sampling of primary sources housed by Special Collections on this topic, as well as secondary resources to advance your research.
