Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a service that allows faculty, staff, and current students to borrow materials from other libraries at no additional cost. Books, book chapters, journal articles, music scores, and microfilm reels are all items that can be borrowed through our interlibrary loan services, EZBorrow, Rapido, and WorldShare. In turn, we loan and copy items from our collection for other libraries. Interlibrary loan is managed through our User Services department.
Interlibrary loan functionality is now integrated into Muscat Plus. Users can now access ILL through their library account. Students, faculty, and staff will need to sign into their accounts in order to place requests, view the status of requests placed, and access material that has been filled.
ILL staff work in three systems, however, users do not need to select what ILL system to place their request in. Users will place their request through Muscat Plus, either by selecting request offers, requesting through our databases, or placing a request through the blank ILL form. From there, ILL staff will monitor requests and will redirect requests if needed.

The copyright law of the United States (title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specific conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be “used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research.” If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of “Fair Use,” that user may be liable for copyright infringement. This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.
