Why we're reading together

Gettysburg College Land Acknowledgement StatementWhy are we reading this particular book right now?

  • We read together in order to work toward the commitment of our land acknowledgement statement, adopted in 2021
  • We read together as a meaningful action that contributes to the anti-racist educational goals of Gettysburg College
  • We read together in order to prepare for Robin Wall Kimmerer's visit to Gettysburg College on September 19, 2022 (mark your calendars for an evening lecture - open to the public)
